Perhaps Techcraft/Amazon have been learning from previous experiences.Installation wasn't hard and I was able to put it together in ~2.5 hours on my own. The shipped package that the unit arrives in is quite heavy (~100 lbs). I opened it up in my foyer and took the pieces in. Certain individual pieces can be heavy too (~10-15 lbs). The assembly steps are ok; they just tell you how to the pieces connect together. However, as I was alone, some steps did require some creativity e.g. when I had to align to larger pieces to bolt them together, one had to be a few inches off the ground. I propped it up with some coffee table books. Such tips would be very useful in the assembly manual. Pros: - Good solid unit, with good finish. - The top surface doesn't scratch easily. That's important when you're placing/adjusting a large flat-screen TV on top of it. I do my assembly alone and can't lift the TV...
