After two uses and cleaning with a simple dish towel and soap, the outside of the mug began to tarnish. Additionally, the tin lining in the inside of the mug is already starting to wear out! The capacity of the mug is pretty much the only really good characteristic of this mug. The quality is simply not there with this product. I remembered looking forward to Moscow Mules many years ago while working at a temporary construction job in Denver. Many miles and years later I thought back to how much I enjoyed this potent Vodka drink. I tried making a Moscow Mule in an ordinary glass but it didn't work. The copper mug was missing. This mug isn't cheap but it is worth every penny. The alloy and size are perfect. This mug allowed me to recreate this ice cold excellent drink. Even with ginger ale (instead of ginger beer), trader joes cheap vodka (instead of Absolute) and lemon (instead of lime) the mug makes the drink taste like a genuine Moscow Mule. If you want to taste the Mule then you better get the mug!
